Nakia Woods (They/She)CCRF Coalition DirectorNakia Woods is the Director of The California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom (CCRF). In addition to their role at CCRF, Nakia is also an aspiring midwife, full-spectrum birthworker, and sex educator! Originally from San Diego, Nakia has been thriving in the Bay area for over a decade. In their spare time, they love to take care of their plant daughter and son – Lily and Harry – interact with all things Harry Potter, and constantly change their social media accounts from private to public.

Fabiola Carrión (She/Her)Executive Committee PresidentFabiola Carrión is the Director of Reproductive and Sexual Health at the National Health Law Program, where she works on reproductive and sexual health access and services in California and across the country. Her portfolio focuses on abortion coverage at the state level, primarily in Medicaid and the marketplaces. Fabiola also coordinates NHeLP’s groundbreaking work on telehealth by ensuring that Medicaid enrollees are centered in emerging telehealth policies.
Before joining NHeLP, Fabiola was an Advocacy Program Officer at Planned Parenthood Global, where she designed, developed, and oversaw projects on sexual and reproductive rights in Latin America that have resulted in some of the most progressive policies in the region. She previously served as the Director of Government Relations at Planned Parenthood of New York City and as a Policy Advisor for a network of progressive state legislators and state-based advocates from across the United States. In these roles, she provided technical assistance in the form of legal analysis, legislative tracking, and policy trainings. Fabiola began her legal career as a law clerk for Judge Joseph Maltese in New York’s Supreme Court and worked for various national and international human rights organizations before and during law school. After completing her undergraduate studies, she was selected as a Public Policy Fellow with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Fabiola graduated with High Honors (magna cum laude) from U.C. Berkeley in Latin American Studies and Political Science and has law degrees from American University in Washington, D.C. and La Universidad Alfonso X in Madrid, Spain. |
Cynthia Gutierrez (She/Her)Executive Committee Vice PresidentCynthia Gutierrez (she/ella) is an award winning first-generation Nicaraguan Salvadoran reproductive justice activist, full-spectrum doula, cultural strategist, and public speaker. She is a graduate of the prestigious 2021 Rockwood Leadership Institute Reproductive Health, Rights, and Justice cohort. Cynthia‘s work has been featured in the New York Times, The Lily News, Elle Magazine, Prism,The San Francisco Chronicle, and Rewire News Group. She is currently the program manager for the University of California San Francisco Hub of Positive Reproductive and Sexual Health (HIVE) and Team Lily programs. She is on the Board of Directors for ACCESS Reproductive Justice and a proud abortion storyteller with We Testify. She has a Bachelors in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is originally from San Francisco’s Excelsior District and now resides in East Oakland with her husband and baby

Sylvia Castillo (She/Her)Executive Committee SecretarySylvia Castillo joined Essential Access Health in 2014. As Director of Government + Community Affairs she shapes and advances the organization’s public policy platform, and develops advocacy strategies to promote health equity and protect and expand access to quality sexual and reproductive health care for all. Sylvia designs community outreach and advocacy campaigns impacting women’s access to health care services and previously oversaw the Women + Health Care Reform Coalitions in northern California. Prior to joining Essential Access Health, Sylvia was a Policy Analyst at AltaMed Health Services in Los Angeles, where she advocated for the health and wellness of patients and their families and communities. A native of Los Angeles, she received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Latin American Studies from UCLA and attended the University of San Francisco’s Masters of Public Affairs program.

Jessica Pinckney (She/Her)Executive Committee Treasurer
Jessica Pinckney is the executive director of ACCESS REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE. ACCESS removes barriers and builds the power of Californians to achieve reproductive justice. Jessica oversees the organization’s work to combine direct services, community education, and policy advocacy to promote real reproductive options and access to quality health care for people in California. No other organization in the state provides the same range of support for people considering or seeking an abortion. She returns to her home state of California after living for nearly a decade in Washington, DC, where she previously served as vice president of government affairs at In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda, a national/state partnership with eight Black women’s reproductive Justice organizations. Jessica previously served as government relations manager for YWCA USA, one of the oldest and largest women’s organizations in the country and as the legislative analyst at the University of California (UC) Office of Federal Governmental Relations, representing one of the most recognized and renowned public institutions of higher education in the country. Jessica holds an M.A. in Government with a concentration in Political Communications from John’s Hopkins University and a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Service from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for URGE: Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity, the Guttmacher Institute, and SPARK! Reproductive Justice Now, Inc. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the California Abortion Alliance and the Steering Committee of Black Feminist Future's Constellation Network. Jessica remains a relentless advocate and activist in her spare time. She is an avid reader, a newly found peloton enthusiast, and a loving pet co-parent to her 8-year old American Bulldog, Pitbull Mix, Apollo with her husband

Molly Robson (She/Her)Executive Committee Lobbyist LiaisonMolly Robson is the Legislative Director at Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, where she works on state advocacy and policy on behalf of the 7 Planned Parenthood affiliates in the state who serve patients through 108 health centers. At Planned Parenthood, she has led the organization’s legislative advocacy to improve access to sexual and reproductive health care through the passage of PPAC priorities, including improving health center safety and security, expanding access to birth control via telehealth, improving patient confidentiality and helped securing state budget funds for sexual and reproductive health care providers.
Molly graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in Political Science and got her start in politics volunteering on political campaigns. It was during her time interning for then Assemblymember Richard Pan where she was introduced to health policy and grew her interest and passion for expanding access to affordable and equitable health care. |
Flor Hunt (She/Her)Executive Committee MemberFlor Hunt is a dedicated and passionate Peruvian-American advocate for sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice. She currently serves as Executive Director of TEACH, a Bay Area based organization that works to develop the next generation of diverse reproductive health champions through abortion training and mentorship.
Flor has worked with a variety of international feminist organizations over the last 15 years to support local partners through philanthropy, capacity building and coalition building. She spent close to a decade at Fos Feminista, (formerly IPPF/WHR), working with partners across Latin America to advance sexual and reproductive rights and justice through intersectional advocacy and multi-country social accountability efforts. Flor attended Cabrillo College, holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of International and Public Affairs from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. She is a Women’s Policy Institute Alum from the class of 2020. Flor was born in Peru’s Sacred Valley of the Incas, raised in Santa Cruz, California, and is bilingual in English and Spanish, fluent in Portuguese and speaks French. She is raising a small human, loves to travel, dance and surf, and eat her husband’s delicious meals. |
Lorena García ZermeñoExecutive Committee MemberLorena García Zermeño is the Policy Manager for California Latinas for Reproductive Justice where she strongly advocates for our collective right to bodily autonomy, self-determination, and the ability to live with dignity and respect. Lorena is passionate about working with youth and in the power of storytelling. She enjoys spending time with her family in South East LA, reading, and hiking with her dog, Capi.

Onyenma ObiekeaExecutive Committee MemberOnyenma Obiekea is the Policy Analyst for Black Women for Wellness (BWW) and its sister organization, Black Women for Wellness Action Project (BWWAP). She began her work in Reproductive Justice (RJ) as Program Coordinator for BWW’s Get Smart B4U Get Sexy Program - the comprehensive sex and sexuality education program of the Organization’s RJ focused Project, Sisters in Control. Since then, she has continued her work in RJ in varying capacities and currently works on behalf of BWW/AP, to advance intersectional, transformative legislation that seeks to secure the health and wellbeing of Black women and Girls throughout California. Onyenma holds a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law and Master of Public Health from Tufts University School of Medicine. She is committed to contributing to the global realization of RJ, by leveraging her training and experience in the field.
