ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA COALITION FOR REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM
The California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom (CCRF) is a statewide, member-led coalition of more than 40 organizations working to advance reproductive freedom all.
More than 30 years ago, a handful of sexual and reproductive health care, rights and justice organizations came together to maximize the effectiveness of policy and advocacy in women's health and reproductive health rights in the state. Today, CCRF supports and facilitates member-driven initiatives for the benefit of California’s diverse communities - including Black, Indigenous, and people of color, individuals who earn low incomes, youth, LGBTQ+ communities, residents of rural areas, people with disabilities - as well as those who travel to our state to access essential sexual and reproductive health and gender-affirming services and resources.
CCRF provides the space for member organizations to:
Member organizations represent diverse constituencies, strategies, and approaches, and work in all arenas in which California public policy is made: Legislative, Budgetary, Regulatory, Administrative, Judicial, and Ballot Initiatives.
CCRF convenes several times a year and meet ad-hoc to address emerging and time-sensitive issues.
The Coalition is guided by our Values, Best Practices and Rules, which were developed by CCRF leadership in collaboration with our members.
CCRF is a fiscally sponsored project of Tides Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and the nation’s largest fiscal sponsor.
